Terms of Use
VeloSite — Subscription Website Services (Website as a Service)
Last updated:
1. General — Acceptance of Terms
This website and the services provided through it belong to VeloSite(hereinafter “we”, “the Company”), based in Athens, Greece. By accessing or using the website and/or accepting a service offer, you confirm that you have read, understood and unconditionally accept these Terms of Use, as well as thePrivacy Policy and the Cookie Policy.
If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our website or services.
2. Scope of Services — Subscription Model (WaaS)
VeloSite provides Website as a Service (WaaS): website design, development, hosting and maintenance within packages that includea one-off build cost (setup) and a monthly subscription.
The subscription covers, indicatively and depending on package: hosting, security certificate (SSL), basic technical support and minor content changes under the fair use policy (Fair Use) and the limits described on the Pricing page or in the individual contract/offer.
Fair Use — monthly changes: The monthly subscription (WaaS) includes hosting, security, technical support and up to two (2) minor content changes per month (e.g. price, text or photo changes). Larger changes or new pages are billed separately, upon quote.
Domain & Setup: The domain (e.g. .gr, .com) is registered and charged separately and belongs to the client (with the registrar of their choice), unless otherwise agreed in writing. By agreement, VeloSite may handle DNS connection / management as part of the initial setup. The one-off setup fee covers the initial build, setup and delivery of the site and is non-refundable in case of early termination of the partnership.
Scope of service: Packages cover exclusively the build, hosting and technical maintenance of the website. They do not include advertising spend (ads budget) on Google, Meta or other platforms; if the client wants promotion, they connect their own card directly to the platforms. Domain registration / renewal cost is not included in the package price, unless explicitly agreed.
Minimum commitment: All WaaS subscription services are provided with a minimum commitment of six (6) months from the date the website is activated / published, unless otherwise expressly stated in a written agreement.
Prices do not include 24% VAT, unless otherwise stated.
Project contact forms include spam protection where applicable (Honeypot, Rate Limiting and, where applicable, the form platform's verification mechanisms).
3. Third-Party Services — Forms Policy
Contact with VeloSite is via contact form or email — no phone calls and no appointment calendar with the company. For forms on client projects we use third-party external platforms (e.g.: Formspree or an equivalent form provider). Where agreed for the client's site, online bookings for their own visitors may also include an equivalent third-party booking tool.
Message delivery: Message delivery from contact forms relies on external platforms. The availability, usage limits, uptime and privacy policies of these providers are governed by their own terms. VeloSite makes reasonable efforts for smooth integration, without guaranteeing uninterrupted operation of third-party services.
Third-party accounts & charges: Accounts on the above platforms are created either in the client’s name or managed by VeloSite on the client’s behalf, according to the applicable delivery agreement. Any fees for upgraded / paid plans of third-party services (e.g. higher message limits, extra features, business plans) are borne solely by the client and are not included in VeloSite’s base monthly hosting and maintenance subscription (MRR), unless otherwise agreed in writing in an offer.
The client acknowledges that exceeding the free or basic plan limits of a third-party provider (e.g. monthly form submission limit) may require an upgrade at their own expense, for the same functionality to continue.
4. Client Obligations — Payments
- The client must pay the one-time setup fee and monthly subscriptions on time, in accordance with the offer or invoice.
- The client is responsible for domain name registration, renewal and payment, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Payment delay beyond a reasonable period (indicatively 7–15 calendar days after a reminder) constitutes a material breach of the agreement.
- The client is responsible for the accuracy of details, texts, photos, and other content they provide.
- The client represents that they hold the necessary rights to the content they deliver to us.
- The client is responsible for any upgrade charges for third-party services (forms, calendars, etc.), as described in section 3.
5. Suspension / Unpublishing of Service
In the event of non-payment of the subscription, breach of these Terms, misuse of the service, or conduct that puts the security or reputation of the Company or third parties at risk, VeloSite reserves the right, after prior notice where feasible, to:
- suspend temporarily the access or operation of the hosted website,
- unpublish (unpublish) the website from our hosting,
- terminate the agreement and claim amounts owed through the end of the minimum commitment, where provided by applicable law and the agreement.
Republishing after a suspension for unpaid amounts may require settlement of overdue amounts and/or a reactivation fee, if agreed or notified in advance.
6. Termination after the Minimum Commitment
After the six (6) months are completed, the client may cancel the subscription with written notice of at least thirty (30) daysbefore the desired end date. At termination, hosting by us ends. On request and within a reasonable time, a file export may be provided under the terms of the agreement.
7. Intellectual Property
The content of this website (text, graphics, logos, layout, demo code) is protected by Greek and EU intellectual property law and belongs to VeloSite or its lawful rights holders, unless otherwise stated.
For client projects, rights in the final deliverable are governed by the individual contract/offer. Until full payment of setup and outstanding subscriptions, VeloSite retains related rights in the deliverable where provided in the agreement.
Copying, reproducing, modifying or commercially exploiting content from our website without prior written permission is prohibited.
8. Website Use — Prohibitions
The user agrees not to:
- use the website in an unlawful, abusive, or harmful manner toward third parties,
- attempt unauthorized access to systems or data,
- submit malicious content, spam, or false information via forms,
- infringe third-party intellectual property or personal data rights.
9. Limitation of Liability
The website and services are provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by Greek law, VeloSite is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages (including loss of profits, data or opportunities) arising from use of or inability to use the website or services.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of third-party services (e.g. hosting providers, Formspree or equivalent, payments, bookings on client sites), although we make reasonable efforts for the smooth operation of the solutions we provide.
The Company's total liability to a client, where permitted by law, is limited to the amount paid to the Company for services in the twelve (12) months before the event, unless otherwise required by mandatory law.
10. E-Commerce & Consumers
For clients who are consumers under Greek law, rights under applicable consumer protection and distance-contract law apply to the extent they cover the services provided. Business clients (B2B) are governed first by the specific terms of their agreement.
11. Amendments
VeloSite may amend these Terms. The date of the last update appears at the top of the page. Continued use of the website after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms, unless express consent is required for material changes to active service contracts.
12. Governing Law — Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Greek law. The courts of Athens have jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to mandatory consumer-protection provisions.
